Tip of the week

Taking photos with action and movement.

OK, so there's a couple of points to think about here -
Firstly, select your shutter speed. You want fast shutter speed to "freeze" action and a slow shutter speed to show movement blur. You can change these by using the "Tv" selection on your DSLR.

Secondly, think about your composition. If you have a subject moving in front of you (across the frame at speed), try to leave some space in front of the subject for them to "go" in the frame.
You can also freeze your subject but blur the background by moving your camera along at the same speed as the subject while you press the shutter.

Its great to just experiment and see what happens!
